Jamie Moore

Pastor Jamie was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to IMB missionaries, but grew up in Texas. Jamie attended Baylor University and received a Bachelor of Music Education, Voice Concentration, in December 2002. At Baylor he nurtured his passion for missions and his call to service, being active in on and off campus missions – including the Baptist Student Union annual Fall Mission Emphasis, spring break mission trip, and student missionary to China – and serving as Minister Of Music at a nearby church.

Jamie continued his education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas, and graduated in May of 2005 with a Master of Music, Music Ministry Concentration, and completed half of the course work for a Master of Divinity. In 2006, he began doctoral studies at B.H. Carroll Institute, Arlington, Texas, and anticipates completing his PH.D in Worship and Missions in December 2013.

As he pursued his education, Jamie also followed his call to vocational ministry and has served almost fourteen years in three churches under three senior pastors as Music Minister and Associate Pastor of Music and Worship. Although he has served mainly as worship pastor, his duties have included youth, college, and pastoral care. Jamie says, “God is moving me to serve Him as a Senior Pastor and He has confirmed this calling through my church family and the Spirit’s empowering in my life through the gifts of preaching, teaching, and pastoral care.”

Jamie is married to Jessica Ellen, a Tulsa native. Jess has a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling from Southwestern Theological Seminary and is pursuing a PH.D in Counseling and Psychology at B.H. Carroll Institute. She is a licensed Professional Counselor and works for a leading national nonprofit organization that serves behaviorally troubled children with an emphasis on helping families succeed. Jess currently teaches in the college and career department at their church and she shares Jamie’s passion for missions and cross-cultural ministry.

Jamie and Jess have two children: Bailey Grace, who is six and a half, and Caden James.
