Sunday, February 16 is an important day for our church, and I am asking that you all plan to be in attendance as we reflect on “Unity” both in the morning and evening services.
In the morning service, our message will be on the “Mission, Vision, and Purpose Statement” of our church. This will serve to unify us as a congregation and give us clarity as we seek to fulfill God’s mission in 2014 and beyond.
In the evening, we will be hosting a city-wide unity service at 6:00 pm, with a reception to follow. Tulsa Metro churches from all different racial backgrounds will join us in worship and celebration of the unity that we have through Jesus Christ.
A local sister congregation will lead us in musical offerings, and we will hear a message from Dr. Anthony Jordan, the Executive Director of the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma.
Our church family is providing delicious desserts for the reception, so please stretch those “hospitality muscles” for this event! Cakes, pies, cookies, and banana pudding (especially) will be a must as we look to host over 500 guests that Sunday!
Again, please be in prayer and in attendance for this important day of unity and celebration!
